National Aeronautics and Space Administration is an independent agency of the United States government responsible for aviation and spaceflight monitoring. NASA does many different things, including making satellites, launching satellites, doing science, making plans for future missions, etc. NASA does a great deal of research. They collaborate with universities, private companies, and other organizations to make the space flight technology developed by them useful.
Recently, there have been many controversial reports about the NASA Corporation, mainly by people on the internet. These reports have questioned the competence of people within NASA and the competence of NASA’s management. Let’s take a closer look at these reports:
For instance, the overview stated that NASA is a government organization funded by the United States government. Each area of NASA is separately controlled by an inspector general. These people are responsible for conducting evaluations of potential proposals to ensure that they will be eligible to go to outer space and other recommended preparations for sending humans to space. These reports are scientifically reviewed, meaning that they do a close evaluation of each proposed mission’s facts and circumstances and mission repetition. Once these reports are published, they become official information.

The public is well aware that the shuttle is a joint project of NASA and a commercial company. The public knows this because articles have appeared in the print and online world about NASA’s commercial company and their effort to send humans to space. Because of this, people are asking questions about the NASA Corporation and its management.
The NASA Corporation is the result of the combination of NASA and its contractors. It is part of the government, but it is independent of the government. In fact, the NASA Corporation is so shrouded with controversy that it is difficult to know what is going on. That is the way it appears. However, independent laboratories and companies focus more and more on space flight and leaving the laboratory and company projects to become NASA property.
For instance, a group called “JSC Labs” started working with NASA a few years ago. This group is a pilot facility for all NASA missions. It is focused on making sure that each specific NASA part, such as the launch services and rest of the complex, will be adequately prepared for flight. This group is also working on making sure that the launch facility is ready for a human-crewed flight. They also studied the layout and construction of the pad and how well it will fit the NASA flight testes’ needs. JSC Labs has a $50 million contract to build up a $125 million launch complex that will be fully integrated for human-crewed flights.
Big budget, slight chance
Big budget, significant changes: The budget for the JSC Space System is around $700 million. This is around $50 million more than the $pleted Space Shuttle. When it was accepted, it was chosen among 3 other proposals. The others were a revamp of the International Space Station and a low earth orbital vehicle. Since the Space Shuttle was finished before Florida’s selection, JSC was a no-brainer to go with the well-tested and stable Rotary wing concept.
Just like the Space Shuttle, the JSC Space System is a solid-state rail car. It is a monolithic vehicle composed of a single space-frame and a Draco vehicle. The space frame comprises 11 significant components: 13 beams, 17 support beams, 17 spar columns, 45 splines, full-length Ballistic Aircraft Shelters, and a host of other small parts too numerous to mention here.
Why is it so special?
Just what is so special about a monolithic space-frame rail gun system that requires no fuel, a rocket, no solid rocket motors, no fuel, vibration, or thermal exponents, and it can’t be distracted by any of these things? The JSC says it is absolutely unique. Other concepts vehicles have been tried, but none have met the criteria set forth by JSC. It is a combination of all these things. It is truly unique.
How does it work?
The monolithic space-frame rail gun is basically an air-breathing, gas-cooled, single-stage engine. Big, bulky, expensive, and far to reach. Until now.
The gas-cooled engine uses a closed-cycle gas Dryer, gas producer, and an electric compressor. On the exhale, the pump pushes air in and uses the gas produced to drive a turbine. The air is then directed through a heat exchanger to cool the engine. Much like a conservative, the compressed air is directed back through the engine and out their end.
In simple terms, the pump is a lot like air revving. The more you compress, the more power the engine receives.
